Exchanging goods or services for money makes anyone a customer. The only people that are free from that status are donaters. Nice try though champ.

This only applies to China for now but it's a step in the right direction. All state and provincial gambling as the odds of winning. Game developers have had it easy being able to sell RNG without even telling a player the chances of winning. Lots of developers have used this to fleece people out of their moneys. It's high time accountability was set in place. Customers should know what they are getting into so they can make informed decisions.

Not exactly sure why we should care or bother with it. Asian games in general are very prone to not only encouraging but forcing people to buy real money things in-game or be left at a huge disadvantage, or in rare cases in some pure p2w games, simply unable to progress at some point unless you throw some money at the rng wheel.
The whole p2w thing came from games like those.
Poe gets 1 box every now and again that has a chance to give you a random cosmetic item, ofc it was done for the extra cash grabbing and it's perfectly fine, they never said that every mtx in that box has equal chance to drop, but let's be honest - if they gave exact drop rates of every item that box can contain, would anyone feel less inclined to buy them? Most likely it would actually end up the other way around.

Now let's add ATMA calculator for every single unique in the game AND real values of chances for affixes/suffixes and we are good to go.

- China makes this regulations/restrictions or whatever

- GGG refuse to follow this path by givin all exact numbers of RNG

- Tencent can't support PoE as result

- We got another merge.

China will. They actually have enforcement officials monitoring this stuff on the daily. You don't really appreciate the level of how far their socialism extends. I know developers and producers who have their products in China and someone is always watching. If they even catch wind that something isn't on the up and up, they'll shut you down and do an insanely up closing and personal investigation. You may be able to hide for a while, but they will catch whatever it is you're doing eventually.

Then again, it's not in GGG's best interests to lie about this sort of stuff. They want to make a game, not scam people.
