The best Moving skill?

Hi all

I know that the best moving skill is microlag, but due to ist rather chaotic nature it cannot be reliable.

So which one in Your opinion is the best and why?

Shield charge is currently best in most senses of the word. It gets you quickly from point A to point B with little required investment. You just need a shield equipped (most builds have that) and a little attack speed on your weapon, and you're good to go. The mana cost is low. You can link it with fortify. You can use it even with a caster, just equip a dagger or scepter (rip wands).

Whirling blades could probably rival it in very specific conditions - a high-attack speed build with high-attack speed weapons. Dual wielding raiders come to mind. Its one distinct advantage to shield charge is not being reliant on your actual movement speed, so you can use boots without movement speed with a fast-attacking character. It opens up some interesting options, like Kaom's Roots or some low-MS boots like Goldwyrm, or perhaps allows you to buy a great pair of boots at a discounted price because of the lack of a MS roll.

Lightning Warp... oh, dear. You need it at least in a three-link to be anywhere near functional, and a four-link (with rapid decay) is better. You can't apply fortify with it. The mana cost is exorbitant, especially in a four-link. You could use it with faster casting, reduced duration and blood magic, of course. But what it really needs is a four-link LW - faster casting - less duration - rapid decay, with high gem levels and 20 quality on all gems, in a character with cast speed bonuses, to start shining. You can see the issue here. All this being said, if you actually fulfill these conditions, lightning warp is great for movement. Probably the best movement skill out there - potentially - if you only care about the movement and not for the fortify.

Flame Dash is a compromise if you're starved for gem slots and don't mind spending most of the time running with the good old legmobile. It speeds you up from time to time and works - somewhat - unless you need a longer-range teleport, that is.

Leap Slam? Mostly used by people with 2H weapons, which are more of a minority nowadays, because shield charge is better. Still works if you have enough attack speed. Of course, some 2H builds like Marohi EQ don't have attack speed, so it sucks big time there.

Everything said and done, all the movement skills have pros and cons, but shield charge comes out on top in most situations. However, a high cast speed character with a high-level, qualitied 4-link lightning warp feels great to play. You should try it sometime. Brings back the old D2 teleport feel.

The Wheel of Nerfs turns, and builds come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the build that gave it birth comes again.

Shield Charge is probably the best. It has good speed, scales with MS, costs practically no mana so everyone can spam it 24/7, can get Fortify, can be used in most builds (Just need Shield and a melee weapon)

Whirling Blades has merit. In that it ignores slows and negative movement speed multipliers, so you can move quickly even when chilled/stuck in Tar/stuck in Izaro's earthquake thing (I haven't checked if it works while hit by a Poison Dart yet...). It is however, a bit more mana intensive and weapon specific.

Lightning Bolt is a good mobility skill, IF you can afford the links. On its own it's meh. You ideally need at least Faster Casting and Less Duration to make it good, with Rapid Decay being an additional benefit. The upside is that it can also go up/down ledges and across gaps while the aforementioned ones cannot.

Flame Dash/Leap Slam are not so great, but sometimes you're stuck with them because of your build (2h Melee = RIP good mobility skills) and/or because of limited slots (Flame Dash is okay out of the box as a single socket)
I am looking for something that dont have charges like Flame Dash so i can use it instead move (on first click).

Currently have no shield but looking for one with good (over 400) or deacent (at lest 300) ES but still no good dagger for spellcaster (Divinarius maby but i dont have one).

Yes it works "vs" Poison Darts. And vs Vaal RoA rooting. Main drawback of WB is that it requires high attack speed to work properly as a movement skill. And its hard to use in tight quarters with mobs around (lab).
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
