Umbilicus Immortalis - why is it restricted to zombies and spectres?

obvs it can't be used with SRS, but why can't we use it with other summons like Animated Guardians etc?

It just is. Probably has something to do with the flavor they were trying to give it. Sounds more biological than mechanical.
