Hi my name is Sam, and Im an altaholic


My addiction started back when I found my first lesser multiple projectile gem, and i instantly thought to my self "Wow! I could make some crazy builds with this thing".


That was more than 10 alts ago.


Now it seems with each new skill gem I pick up I cant stop theory crafting and rerolling. Its gotten to the point where I spend more time designing builds and crafting leveling gear than I do playing.

I keep telling my self "Its ok, these are hardcore alts, they will die eventually". But it never gets that far.

I keep telling my self "Just play one of your higher level alts. Make some progress. Find some new gear". But with each piece of gear I replace I have to find an alt to equip to old one to. And with each skill gem I find, I have to have an alt who could use it.

Its an endless cycle. I lost my job. My wife left with the kids. Now my own cat wont look at me. I havnt slept in weeks and my shirt is more coffee stains than shirt...


I just.. Dont know what to do anymore.

I think there is an alt you can roll to fix all that. I think I saw a build for it somewhere.


Also, have you tried lighting your cat on fire? I bet it would look at you then.

Best way to play games like this. Sitting with 1 guy at end game gets boring so fast.

I think the idea behind so much theorycrafting is to find a build that is realy fun to play, can be safe and kills fast and someone else doesn't have it yet.

I do the same things as you, slowly leveling alts and such. But i took the most fun alt and stick with it until 70+ to have a farming character. Hardcore only, ofc. I guess time can solve all issues.

This game is a brain trap, play cautiously.
