Flame dash doesn't work on 21:9 monitors outside of 16:9 horizontal range

There is a maximum distance beyond which it's not possible to target an action. This is a fundamental limitation, and is not specific to flame dash, nor to any particular resolution. The game is designed such that that distance covers everything you could try to target at most common resolutions, but it's obviously not possible for that to be the case for all cases.
