"Build of the Week" Project Launched

Hey guys,

A large part of the community want to see the build of the week returning and for GGG to keep up with the consistency of it. Seeing that they are very busy with tons of other things I've gone ahead and launched "Weekly Build Showcase" which works in a similar fashion!


My idea of this is to promote 3 build guides every Sunday and run a strawpoll to get 1 build guide who will also get displayed on YouTube, this way we can bring more and more build guides to light for the community that deserves it. At the same time as granting exposure for the new content creators as well as the old timers. ;)

* Written forum build guide
* Gameplay footage
* Build must be made by yourself

This seems like a great idea. I've always enjoyed GGG's build of the week series.
Would be nice to see some of the lesser known (cookie cutter) builds be featured. Some builds that work with gimmicky mechanics, like last league the CwC scorching ray discharge lightning warp thing.

Just builds that seem fun to play, but are quite complicated/interesting when it comes to mechanics. That would be nice to have someone explain how it works and how it plays.

My plan is to make sure the variety of builds will be as vast as it can, then the strawpoll will decide which one gets up on youtube. Either way, 3 builds will get showcased every week as long as we can get enough people onboard for this! :)

Hope it works out and we see some build diversity in the current game state, god knows this community is stubborn enough to provide some.

If not i am sure 3.0 will bring some fresh air to build viability and diversity :)

Yeah,

I really feel that this is great for the community but mainly to show the new players that are joining that there are other options and fun mechanical options besides the cookiecutter builds. This obviously doesn't mean that cookiecutter builds will be excluded. I will show 3 different builds every sunday, 1 hits youtube.

Just need to get this projected start, the coming Sunday will be the first show :)

Neat idea. i always love to look at new builds and to show newcomers that there is more to POE than three or four go to builds
