Item sockets

Hi...
I have never asked you anything... but there is something that is bother me since i have started to play PoE. Item sockets look.

Now...i know that this is Poe trademark.
But why there are not a bit nicer? Any minor improvement would be
greatly welcome.

I even considered to install some forbidden mod which changes that.
But im afraid of perma ban.I have a lot to lose. :/

Im very disappointed 41y old guy (not some kind of immature kid)
Because... long ago i have written personal letter to GGG about that,
and never got an answer. ANY answer.

I know you are super busy...
...and maybe im too sensitive, but im feeling hurt.
