Hardcore, online... really?

Three years playing PoE. It was only recently that I made my first serious attempt at Hardcore. My connection is usually stable but my latency is always around 150 ms. That's why I had not tried it before... besides other things that I may comment later.
The point is that I never felt at all comfortable. The fact that I could lose my character at any time because of problems beyond me, was enough to not take the issue seriously. Too much random stuff in a game made for "Hardcore Gamers by Hardcore Gamers". Random is not harcore is just random, or a sign of not having the patience to do things well. Too many things can go wrong in this game to take a Hardcore character seriously... Latency spike, death. Bad luck with monster modifiers, death. Graphic lag (yes, in this game that can happen without much effort), death. WTF moments (in which even some PoE developer would take a full day after analyzing a video in saying what happened), death.

Grim Dawn has not been termed the "Great Hardcore Experience", but I can finally play Hardcore and feel what PoE never made me feel, adrenaline. My deaths in PoE especially at the end, were limited to just said some mental expletive and after a minute continue playing. Some deaths in PoE are so absurd that they end up destroying your way of seeing the game and qualifying it lower and lower. Dying for lag has nothing hardcore, dying for bad design has nothing hardcore...

Oh, and I also have to mention that now I can play 30 seconds after double clicking on the GD icon, with many graphic options to the maximum (yes, GD has graphical options, thing that after more than 4 years still does not happen in PoE, nor a fu***** little checkbox to turn particle on or off, maybe that is too hardcore for the developer team XD), and don't wait 4 minutes for everything to load well as in PoE with all to de minimum.

Finally if I die it will be my fault and not because of lag or lazy developers :)

Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?

4 minutes to load PoE? Why did you steal your poor grandma's toaster for some silly video games?
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
I am blessed with good Internet at the moment which is the only reason why I have a level 84 character in Permanent Hardcore (likely to be 90 eventually). 30 ms ping with rock solid stability is a godsend.

I'm glad you're enjoying Grim Dawn but to be completely honest I don't think GGG will ever change how they treat the game with respect to Hardcore. So this thread seems kinda pointless to me (cool story bro?)

Are you seriously blaming a game for your ping?

???
You missed your chance to make a comment that shows that you have more than 1 neuron... Reading comprehension, please.

"Hardcore" has many definitions. Calling anything "Hardcore" is going to get you an argument 98% of the time.
I'm having fun in PoE-hardcore, especially since i upgraded my 6 year old PC.

Just taking a little break after fighting some prophecy-triggered Warbands last weekend.
Could have easily fled :P

Are you seriously able to read what people say before you post?

He talked about LATENCY *SPIKES*, a problem that has been around FOREVER. What is it you don't understand?

PoE is infamous for its constant server problems.

Ever since my latest connection (Sept 2016), I haven't had a single latency spike.

Am I Blessed by GGG to Magically Forego these server problems?

Some people rather blame anything other than themselves
