RF has a problem with rapid decay support gem

poe website says that RF is burning damage
burning damage is damage over time
so in theory, rapid decay MUST work with RF since its DOT, but actually it does not work
please fix it

note: rapid decay works with RF when linked to spell totem only for the duration of the totem... the damage does not change

Righteous Fire doesn't have the Duration tag.

Rapid Decay is a support gem that affects active skills with Duration.

This is why it works on a Totem because every totem skill has a Duration.

tooltips can be deceiving, tooltip often gets it wrong

did you time kills against the same enemy (e.g. Hillock Merciless) with a stopwatch?

i tested now on belly of the beast piety merciless


with rapid decay (level 19, quality 0) : 12.74
without rapid decay : 13.59 sec (the difference is because my totem died here.. my cast speed is 0.89)

so ?

At this point I would recommend submitting a bug report.
