A question about discharge and attack speed

I wonder about something for my cospri discharger.

So for the stats i have got 93% chance to hit and 4.18 attack speed without faster attack speed gem, when i put it i have 5.62 attacks/sec.

So my question is since the discharge skill has been nerfed and the cooldown is now to 250ms does it worth to put this attack speed gem to my gear?

Basically when you trigger discharge during the 250ms period of time it doesn't matter how much faster you are as anyways it cannot trigger. The question is for the next moment when the 250ms ends i need to trigger it as fast as possible without extending the cooldown + triggering period too extensively.

So here attack speed can play a role but i would like to know if this role is significant or not really, how much would it be able to improve this cooldown + triggering period of time from an attack speed to another? If the gain is finally 10ms i don't see the point, if it's like 50ms it gets more interesting.

What are your thoughts about it ? I hope i'm enough clear :p

Attack speed still benefits if your Critical Strike Chance is less than 100% against a given enemy, but much less than before.
