With our base skill tree and medium gear, we lose around 25% damage compared to a rare claw with t1 ias/t1 light damage/vagan weapon elemental damage. It is also interesting that the leveling version of Hand of wisdom and action, Hand of thought and motion does exactly the same amount of damage on our build! Did you include uniques as atramentis, perandus signet, Black sun crest, fertile mind while testing this in tree builder? Also you can dual wield that claw for double bonuses. With 500 int its 100-600 light dmg

" Dual wielding the claw gives the build a bit more dps compared to the claw and catalyst. If we wanted to build around the new claw completely, it would be a very different build, so i won't do that. This build is made to use the uniques i recommended, to stack defences and survive late game in hardcore. There would be many builds better suited for going all out on damage to be honest :) Colorblind? - Check out the Unofficial colourblind mode!

thanks again for the build - going great in BHC lvl 55 now - some notes:
-for leveling I took the leech nodes lower left, some dmg and life but tried to go straight to the AOE node upper left, this made a huge difference (act 2 cruel i got them) - should I grab ele overload next? also on bandits: oak/kraityn (8%AS over skillpoint)/kraityn I guess -Is critchance/multi good on gear if you happen to get it as extra stat? -I run arctic armor now (and wrath)- isnt that really good extra defense esp. for this build attacking while standing still? " Yes, go for elemental overload next. it boosts your damage by quite a bit. Bandits are listed in the front page but we go: 40Life/8Ias/1 Frenzy. crit chance could be used, but crit multi is useless because of elemental overload. Arctic armor if far worse than Enfeeble. you wont have enough to run all 3 Colorblind? - Check out the Unofficial colourblind mode!
