Noob looking for help with a Hardcore Esssence Melee AOE/Summon build?

Hi guys,

I'm fairly new to PoE, and I'm little overwhelmed with how to approach this.
I was wondering if you guys could help me figure the best way to make this build I want to try for Hardcore Essence League:

-Duel Wield Focus (Also open to Two Handed if it's much better)
-AOE on hit (Which element(s) though?)
-Summoning Magic focus
-Energy Shield focus, maybe? (Better options welcome!)

I'm primarily looking for Passive Skill Tree suggestions and which gems to focus on, but any other suggestions would be great!

I'm not going for an "HARDCORE MIN-MAX UURRRG YES" thing, just something fun that's fairly effective.
