Karui Spirit did not get picked up

Myself and LORDofRUIN were running a Haku daily and when i interacted with the Karui spirit it registered me doing so to start the timer but it did not actually pick the spirit up so we got to the end and were unable to complete it because of the remaining time with having to run back and pick it up again
