Suggestion for improving Trade.

Hi All :)

I would like to suggest the improvement - Easier trading:

We have a bank with public tabs where items are listed. Okay. The poe.trade(as example) takes items list and shows to players. Player writes to the seller and wants to buy something. Seller cant go now (map.. lab.. afk?)

There is an option for guild members to visit some other member / friend hideout when they want. Great!

How about allowing all players to come to your instance and OPEN YOUR bank, to see only PUBLIC tabs and BUY DIRECTLY what they want?

The price for items are always in currency.. okay, so if it lets say 250 chaos.. We can allow to use this feature only to sellers who have the CURRENCY TAB.

What do you think? its looks like not too much of work to implement, but that will make the trade much much much more cool! :)

The future go of the idea is - visiting the instance of offline player.. and buying what you want. Will take more effort, but will make even more action inside! :)

Update 1:

If its hard to implement selling from banks directly, maybe it could be possible to get new "Master", which will sell the items from your bank :) so, as it is now with other masters, they are taking items from Air.. but this one will just read the players bank, and sell the items from public tabs. Simple enought, and people will be happy. Huh?

This is indeed a good idea, trading in poetrade is pain in the a** sometimes, often players are just afk or watever.

Don't know anything about implementing tough. But it would be much more convenient if it worked like OP said.

age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
They said years ago they had a 'master' that was your own shop.

It was bad, as 'good shop' players had there hideouts full of people.

They also said, they had cross instance/league trade going...

Guess it makes the april fools of they added trade systems into the game extra funny? *shrugs*
What happens when someone wants to pay in an alt currency? I want to buy something that is listed for 1 ex, but instead of paying 1 ex, I want to see if the seller will accept 65c. How does that work?
U MAD?
Trading is the most terrible shit ever and it will be improved in 2025.

If we want fast and realible implementation - you should pay only with the currency seller requested. As the chaos is the basic currency for now so if he/she is really interested in selling, he will just put the price in chaos equivalent :) From other side its quite easy to trade alts to chaos.

Why not something more complex with currency conversion and so on.. - because for now we have npc, and they are selling items for some price, so if we will reuse the same system, but sell the items from players, it will be much easier to implement.

Additionally, you are still able to contact with seller by whispering and change/discuss the price.

One more idea: If its hard to implement selling from banks directly, maybe it could be possible to get new "Master", which will sell the items from your bank :) so, as it is now with other masters, they are taking items from Air.. but this one will just read the players bank, and sell the items from public tabs. IMHO.

Click to buy is not right for poe. Improvements will happen give it time.

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
Having to leave a map/lab/boss just to do some random 1c trade sure is fun. I mean, we're all here to trade, not to play, right?
PoE has a beautiful, rich, detailed world - you can really feel the skill which went into crafting it.
The game mechanics on the other hand leave much room for improvement.

Bravo! Well spoken by a member of the wealthy elite set. In 2 days (October 23rd) it'll be the 3rd anniversary of PoE. Open beta started end of January 2013. You actually have the balls gall to state "improvements will happen give it time". Wow! Almost 4 years from my CB start of playing and we're supposed to be happy with this trade chat shit. No way!

What the OP is suggesting is the same thing I and many others have posted about. It's called asynchronous trading and it's not the same thing as a global one stop auction house that GGG and no one else wants (well, most don't want). With asynchronous trading we still need to use trade sites to find the item for sale, then we'll still need to be able to enter the seller's hideout but without needing a direct invite from the seller (who is most likely off-line/AFK anyway). Then, we can open sellers stash and only see the "for sale" tabs of items for sale. Each item will have a B/O price so if you choose to buy you will need to have the exact currency the seller wants to buy the item. Once bought the item is in our inventory and the seller gets a new read-only tab with the currency paid for the item in it. If you don't like the listed B/O price then by all means you can try and hunt the seller down to barter for the item as asynchronous trade is not a replacement for trade chat. It is an additional way to buy without needing the seller to be online. The current trade system stays as it is.

GGG should have coded this into PoE 3 years ago during OB time and released it when PoE was officially released (October 23, 2013). No way that after 3 years we shouldn't have this. No way in hell that GGG can't code this and no way in hell we should "give it time" to be implemented. It is appalling the we've not gotten asynchronous trade long ago. Shame on GGG for ignoring this and all posts on the subject. This is a serious QoP problem and GGG should be ashamed to have an arpg coded around trading and then fail to make trading viable.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.
