Now i feel really old, cause i remember the cold war.

Sometimes i think that foreign nations are only trumped up as dangerous in order to subliminally reinforce our need for a strong government... But then i see the presidential candidates and am reminded of the utter idiocy of our politicians, no possible way they have the cunning for such a subtle plan nor the intricate planning and collaboration in order to innact it.
For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it
You know, rather than see the USA and Russia exchange nuclear ordinance on each others territory, I'd rather see the warmongers arrested. Here in America, they're called "neocons". People like John "Insane" Mccain, and those types. And General Scales

Don't worry, if the pres doesn't have the cunning, this means he's just a puppet and someone else who has it is pulling the strings.

Propaganda and its power is well known and there is a lot of research and experience available by Goebbels and all the former socialist totalitarian states. The USA is also quite adept at its own brand of propaganda, the main difference is it's done by multiple factions instead of only a centralized government. The USA's genius is in sugarcoating and disguising propaganda to make it much more palatable. You even have a university major for this - it's called PR. Having an external factor to point at, blame for everything and use as an excuse to motivate any military expenditure or decision is extremely convenient and everyone knows it.

About the OP's question: As far as I know, the average Russian thinks of the USA as a threat and an aggressor - in more or less the same way as Americans think of Russians. Just like in the USA, the authorities have decades of practice in scaring the population with the picture of the big bad wolf overseas who could nuke them and they must defend themselves.

In the words of this video, everyone thinks they're the good guy:

Disclaimer: I've no idea how legit this so-called CIA undercover is, haven't researched it and it might be fake - but I agree with the message nonetheless.

US propaganda revolves around a false, perverted sense of patriotism. Just because I exist in the USA, I'm supposed to support and agree with the government's foreign policy and actions overseas, or I'm "Anti-American". News channels like Fox (Faux) News are instrumental in spreading this bullshit. Anyone who's got above room temperature IQ can see this. Unfortunately, most Americans are every bit as dumb as the politicians believe they are.

This laughably describes the situation in the American media where they seem dead set on blaming everything on Putin.

Actually you can switch "US/America" for any other country there and still have more or less precise description of that country. Well, for some of them you'd also have to switch "patriotism" with "religion", but that's all you'd need to do.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

Могу сказать так, пока нас никто не трогает мы вступать в перепалки не собираемся(Гитлер, Наполеон и прочие). Вам нечего бояться если вы сами чисты душой.

"I can say so until we have nobody touches we engage in skirmishes are not going to(Hitler, Napoleon and other). You have nothing to fear if you are a pure soul."

Hopefully Google translator is not warped my promise.

The guy above me meant to say they won't attack first (Hitler and Napoleon given as an example) and also no one has anything to fear if they don't have ill intent.

I wouldn't completely agree with the image of Russia as a purely defensive country, they've often been an aggressor too - just as any other big and powerful country.
