Anything I should know before attempting shaper?

I looked on wiki page but doesnt go into his offensive capabilities just talks about his immunties and resists. I'm melee cospri discharger with build in sig not sure what flasks to bring or what to watch out for. What are his powers? Hate to go in blind and waste the frags took me almost a month to assemble.

The most dangerous things are his teleport slam and his deathlaser of doom. DOT resist in general won't hurt
