Scold's Bridle and Romira's Banquet

Hi all,

I read that Scold's Bridle and Romira's Banquet worked together so you use a skill, hit yourself, then get a power charge from Romira's Banquet.

It doesn't seem to do this, however. The damage from Scold's Bridle still triggers an "on hit" enchantment and it still triggers immortal call, just not the power charge when I'm testing it.

Is this due to a patch or did it never work? Is it because Romira's Banquet only works when inflicting a hit on an enemy? Or is there another reason?

When they first introduced Scold's Bridle, it counted as hitting yourself. They soon patched this though, since it was pretty abusable, and also resulted in some other buggy behaviour too iirc. That was quite a while ago now.

Thanks, it still counts as hitting yourself in an 'on hit' fashion sometimes, as I see it triggers the enchantments like 'cast degree of blades on hit'
I was standing in my hideout testing it and that definitely occurs.

They must have changed its mechanics in another way that's a tiny bit different hmm.

Yes, I think I may have been remembering slightly incorrectly. It looks like what they changed was that Scold's Bridle used to be able to stun you, and now it can't:

This might have also affected other things like Romira's charge generation - I can't find a thread about that though.

Yeah. I think it makes perfect sense for the power charges to not be generated as a result of those two items and a bit of self-damage, but I can't find anything mentioning the change. I found old threads where some say the charges can be generated and some can't.
