Uber lab - does it open one portal per party member?

I just tried uber lab in a party of two.
The map device only opened one portal. Is it supposed to be like this, or a bug? I thought it would open one portal for each party member. Last bumped on Sep 3, 2016, 6:32:41 AM

Party members must enter prior to the one creating the instance. Once the instance-creator enters, the portal disappears.

This is so unintuitive, I couldn't have figured it out myself. Why couldn't they just put such information in the 'offering to the goddess' description. |

Did that get changed in 2.4? I recall that previously the portal stayed open until someone clicked on the door at the end of the entrance area.
