Hi and thanks in advance for looking into this. I would like to do an Oro's Sacrifice Flame surge CoC Lacerate. It sounds pretty hipster but i feel like this will be pretty insane on the dps and clearspeed.
Not to sure about the Ascendancy but you can pick which ever is most optimal was kind of leaning towards inquisitor


Skill: Lacerate
Crit, Elemental, or Phys: Elemental and Crit
What type of weapon will you want to use? Oro's Sacrifice
What level are you planning to level this build to? 95
Hardcore or Softcore? Softcore but it would be nice to have at least 4k life
Ascendancy you wish to use: chieftain, inquisitor

I'm looking for your help on making a heavy-duty caster type character. Most of my characters I play tend to be way too squishy, so for once I seek aid. I have some basic ideas for the build, like what weapons I'll end up using, and what ascendancy points I'll be spending. Beyond that, I want to see your take on this idea.


Defenses:
Armor / Life / Life Regen

Skill:
Flame Surge - Whirling Blades for movement and fortify trigger

Crit, Elemental, or Phys:
Elemental (Maybe with Crit? Not sure how to stretch that on the tree, but if you can figure it out, by all means ^_^ )

What type of weapon will you want to use?:
Dual Razor of the Seventh Sun potentially, but up to your discretion

What level are you planning to level this build to?:
100

Hardcore or Softcore?:
Hardcore

Ascendancy you wish to use:
Juggernaut - Unbreakable - Unyielding - Unrelenting

I don't know a lot about what you had in mind for your heavy duty caster, but I feel like replacing the off-hand razor of the seventh sun with a Doon Cuebiyari and using repentance gloves could give you a nice boost to both damage and armour.
Then again, I'm not the expert here and it's just a suggestion.

Not a terrible idea. I was thinking two razors for the more sustain on life and better ignites, but that's a pretty decent weapon as well for the build potentially. For this build, I was thinking of working toward sick ignites.

Tree:


Wanna: DW wands/sceptres/daggers, to keep my ammy, to get some cost-light dmg mitigation. (Not cheap per se, just as least pain in the ass to use.)

Don't wanna: too many stuns, Eye of Kalua in ammy slot

I could go with 1h+shield if it was neccesary, some sacrifices may need to be done. Tree is just scetch, I don't even know yet for sure which skill(s) I will use. (70% it's gonna be arc+some cold AoEish, freezing stuff.)

I'm sure that I will use A. Armor just when stuns will get too annoying (I aleady have enough free mana pool). And I'm pretty sure about taking G. Reaver or Z. Oath (or both, why not). I'll take bit of specialsised (lighting?) nodes too at the end.

Atm these stuns around the corner and that Eye of Kalua bother me the most:)
