Do we have 8 ascendancy points now?

Been away for a while (quit about halfway through HCPerandus) and checked the top ladder players to see what the flavour of the month was and it seems like they have 8 ascendancy points, is this correct or is the skilltree buggy?

Yes. They are detailed in the patch notes.

Most importantly, you have to complete an end-game lab to get your last 2 points.

yes, they updated many of the ascendancy trees as well. Slayer, Elementalist and Juggernaut are the 3 main ones they buffed considerably. Chieftan, Berserker, Guardian, Hierophant, Raider and Assassin (LOL) all received decent buffs, and Ascendant was nerfed so much that she really needs a name change.
