How to best use these gems?

That's quite a story. :P How potent you think will be this skill for non fire damage / generating corpses builds with different ammount of linked support gems? Like what will be difference between 1 sup, 2 sup, 3 sup etc? 2 How potent this skill at full power (given there is 12-18 corpses) ?
