If I put split arrow into ranged attack totem & spell totem, are the results exactly the same? Can split arrow, or lightning arrow etc... go into spell totem?

Split Arrow is not a Spell; it won't work with Spell Totem.

Spell totem is for "spells". Split Arrow and Lightning Arrow are "attacks" so they will not work with spell totem.

there is a gem for it called Range Attack Totem (red support gem). Yes it will shoot like a normal shot, however with a 30% reduced attack speed.
