Build Question - Ele Bow Templar

Hey guys,

Just looking for some insight on a few plans I have when building a bow templar. The overall idea is:

Dps: Explosive Arrow
Survive: all the %hp regen, and many life nodes, armor + life + regen gear

Onto the noob questions:

1. For bows, does the elemental damage shown below the physical add to the total damage of skills like explosive arrow? For example, if I see 5-10 fire on a bow, will that add 5-10 fire damage to the explosion? or just normal arrow attacks?

2. Follow up to #1, will "+% ele dmg with weapons" improve the damage of the explosive arrow aoe? What about weapon elemental support gem?

3. Before I dive into blood magic, it seems obvious to me with my focus on life and regen that I could use that and ignore worrying about mana. Would it be better to just use a blood magic gem for certain skills and save mana bar for auras? Anyone have an experience with this they can share?

4. Will I constantly be needing to get more and more dex on my gear to level gems and use better bows? Looking for an idea of how long the few dex nodes will last me.

Something about it feels messy, but there are reduced mana cost skillpoints that I think may be useful for blood magic, near the hp regen nodes I'm heading for.
