With Labyrinth moving to "once per league", will parent leagues inherit?

With Masters, any progress you make with a Master gets folded back into the parent league by taking the highest level of progress and using that for the parent league. For example, if somebody gets to Zana level 8 in a temp league and only have Zana level 7 in the parent league, then the parent league shifts to Zana level 8 when the temp league ends.

Will it work in a similar way with Labyrinth, given that it's being announced as shifting to "Once per league" for the upcoming Challenge league?

Anything that cuts down on time spent in Labyrinth would be welcomed by a lot of players and whatever clarity we can about this would be helpful and appreciated.
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?

Most likely no, doing in once and never again in standard isn't really much to ask, is it?
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

If they don't do that, then could characters have their Ascendancy passives taken away when they go to the parent league?

It opens a can of worms to take stuff away from characters when they shift to a parent league, especially when it was earned in-game and it's character-defining stuff around which their character is likely built.

So you're saying that you would normally play in standard, except the thought of having to do the trials in standard *once* is too much for you?

Pretty sure Characters won't lose ascendancy points or quest progress when they shift leagues.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

I think you are misreading. It's the trials you only have to do once per difficulty. You still have to do every labyrinth that you want to get ascendency points from.

On re-reading, you're correct.

labyrinth is still an every-character deal, just like it was before.

I don't think so, they said 'once in every difficulty level per league', that should mean that once you complete trials in normal, cruel and merciless for Standard league you don't have to do them in Standard ever again.

A good change, suggested something similar before.

trials are once per leauge but lab is per character. why shouldnt it?

In this update, we're also streamlining the Trials of Ascendancy so that you only have to complete them once on each difficulty level per league.

Trials is not the lab. Trials is the annoying crap u need to do, to even be able to do the lab.
