Blade Vortex radius

How exactly does blade vortexs radius work? I have noticed sometimes it will go out further and sometimes not as far. Is it suppose to become larger as you gain more stacks? I have passives/jewels/etc that increase the radius but it should remain the same size after the increase

The visual indication of radius is a vague approximation and shouldn't be considered perfectly accurate. The actual hitbox radius works consistently.
