I agree, I'd like to see them separated.

I mean, the rewards are all vanity items showing your prowess, right? If you obtain them in hard mode, shouldn't that be visible somehow?

But yeah... this will be the first time I won't play HC at all.
Last league was too hard and expensive on the challenge part,
and I want the portal effect, at least that solid weapon effect.

Will make some crazy dps builds, farm all day, grind grind grind without stress of dying.
Buy all those challenges if I have to.

I think GGG had good reasons to unify the leagues.

It eases development and allows for more in-depth league mods, or it allows for more resources to be spent on other development. I realize that Talisman was lackluster for many, but they were also hard at work on Ascendancy during that time.

As GGG said, there wasn't as much switching between leagues as they thought there would be. It wasn't so much a choice of "do I want to play hardcore or not" as it was "I like this mechanic/unique a lot better, I'll do this".

Now you can truly decide based on whether or not you want hardcore. I like this change- and I've dabbled in both leagues a bit.

HC is a burden you choose voluntarily.

No point in giving extra rewards for a chosen path.

Yep, im a HC player too..and all this im HC you a SC noob shit is annoying. I wish i could have that much fun in HC, that i do have in SC, lol.
