Zana Map Mods

Hello, fairly new to game. I've only play half of warbands and half of Talisman nothing inbetween

i was looking at the item

Mutewind Pennant Enameled Buckler

and noticed it can only be obtained in warbands or using Zana. does this mean all zana maps or do i now and any other future leagues have to pay for the WARBANDS mod from zana each map for this shield to have a chance to drop at all?

Yes, you have to be playing in the league to get a league only drop and Zana mods are the only current way to play in a past league.

k so paying the 12 chaos per map for the warbands mod from Zana does allow this item to drop.

Yes. And if the item is chanceable (ie not drop only), it can be chanced in such a Zana mod map. I think the warband items had to drop from actual warband enemies so those can't be chanced. But people do bring lots of chance orbs and white items into Zana mod maps just so they can chance league only uniques.
