Always show Health/Mana values

I enabled the option in then option panel but the mana and health values get overwritten by the stats screen/inventory screen/skill tree. This is very annoying as you have to hover your mouse over your mana/health bar when you are equipping a new item. Please make the number display persistent as in it ALWAYS shows, because that is what i was expecting to happen when I turned on that option.
Sorry when a suggestion like this already exists, I just checked the first 3 pages on that.
