6L socket colors rarity?

Are any specific colors more rare/valuable then others? Like if I have a unique 6 linked staff and it has all blue sockets, is that better than having 4 blue 2 green, or any other combo?
The chance of getting a certain color on an item depends on the attribute requirements of that item.
"I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! Like a RAINBOW!"
You need to check the builds that can effectively utilize a 6-link staff and then look what the most common color combinations are.

Arguably though, coloring a staff is a very "low-budget" investment so will not a do whole lot for the overall value of the item.

The best value out of that staff would be, in the current meta, a summon raging spirit build. Which makes the following attributes important.

in order of importance

1) +2 to fire skill gems
2) +1 to all gems
3) cast speed
4) blood magic (craft from master)/ alternatively mana regen if mana based

The coloring has very low impact on the value of the staff, 6 blue's is completely fine to sell it.

edit : for a staff, since the attribute requirements are intel/str, the green aligned(dex) socket color is more rare.

KorgothBG is right on the basics. I recommend using this tool when you decide to recolour your sockets:
http://siveran.github.io/calc.html
this took a lot of chromes.

Try colouring a 6 socket 6 linked Pledge of Hands to 4 green 2 blue. Now *that* takes a few chromies, I can tell you.. :)

I dont even need these colours any more but I bought a new non legacy pair of strides for this character rather than rechrom and now these sit in my stash, probably forever unused.

for the op, the short answer is no it doesnt matter what the colours are.

the long answer is yes it matters in a very few select situations with select items that are too varied, random and numerous to mention. Theyre only really going to become apparent in a meaningful way when you get to those points of knowledge naturally through understanding a range of builds. So until then unless you get an insane amount of 'off' colours on an item its not even worth thinking about. Most people have a lot of chroms and will need to use only a trivial amount of them to get their colours on the majority of their items.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Exactly. I'm tempted to think that chroms need more sinks ; I have so much of them (probably more than 1.5 tabs, by far the currency I have the most).
But eventually everyone needs some funky colors on an inappropriate items and then chroms are spent like crazy. This happened to me recently with this helm:

To replace my former

I spent a few hundred without success, with and without vorici (2R iirc), and eventually resorted to Vorici 3R to get the right colors. I also remember some horror stories when Alpha Howl was massively used in ele buzzsaw time. Getting RRBB or RRBG on that thing was very painful.

Also I have some mixed feelings on the Vorici calculator. From my experience, it's way off in many cases.

If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart...
