Animate Guardian does not appear

It stopped working today, i have failed to find a solution by googling / asking people so i would thank some guidance. Mana is spent when i click but the guardian does not appear. I tried reloading the game and taking off the gem, then put back in.

And just how certain are you that it hasn't died? Did you try to switch it away/alt-F4 to save its arse last you played?

I'm almost sure it hasn't died, i didn't even considered that possibility. I've never seen his hp go below 50% but that would be the only explanation i guess, apart from malfunction. I'll just try to use the skill on any item to check, didnt try that before in order to not overwrite.
