Display bug or some form of chaos penetration vs CI

Observe how I have 1/1 Life but my Life globe is less than full. Not sure if this is actual chaos penetration or just a display bug. It looked like I died from Maligaro's poison trap after he himself had died (i.e. it was not an EK because he cannot cast EK on death/after death as far as I know), so it might be chaos penetration.

100% = immunity. That didn't make any sense.

Sure, sure. Sadly my memory is rather goldfish-like when it comes to echoic memory, so I can't remember many details.
I was basically fighting Maligaro, and he was near death, but I died first, then respawned quickly back in and killed him quickly. I think. With Cold Damage (freezing). it happened to me twice or three times, when reentering area, or was it after i died..

This is a known rare bug which can happen with degen. It's fixed in the Ascendancy patch, as some of the labyrinth traps made it more clear and easier to identify and fix.

Mark, could explain the bug. It is a display bug triggered by degen or chaos penetration bug triggered by degen?

It can only be a display bug. Else you'd be dead. You can't have less than 1 life and still be alive. Game rounds everything down.

Additionally, because it's caused by Damage over Time it can never have anything to do with Penetration - that's an on-Hit effect. There are no monsters with Chaos Pen, and the only monster with any Elemental Pen I can think of off the top of my head is Atziri.

Death and Taxes boss also has pen. Atleast he had in 1.3 since with 100 cold,fire and light res you still take dmg from his spells.
Some people also say that Magnus exile has pen, but thats false. He deals 0 dmg vs 100 fire res. | |
