As a money investor. who surely wasnt't backgroudn checked by said spy organisations when he wanted to invest. Totally makes sense... I was disappointed too, also the action scenes were meh like sometimes you couldn't really follow a combo or whatever, follow the path it juts like blink blink whole situation solved.. Blindfolded entirely execute flawless knockouts on 2 guys in 1-2 seconds that would have been hard to make believeable even if he could see the whole time.. like it felt a bit cheesy, more than usual.
building explodes.. few seconds to get out, we don't see more, bit later they are suddenly in a boat full speed(wtf?) escaping beneath it.. things like that. And there are some remarks so out of place that simple were not needed and felt plain corny. I was looking at the one i was watching it with several times doing the movie and she was giving me the eyes like come on are they serious. But it's a bond movie.. it's at least decent usually and it was entertaining anyway. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

I don't like the modern Bond movies. I LOVE the old ones, seen every movie up to Die Another Day at least twice, although with Die Another Day I already started feeling a very slight... "meh"... while watching it. Very slight though, and I still enjoy the movie!
Casino Royale was... Ehhh. Personally, I very much don't like Daniel Craig's Bond (loved Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan), and the movie was a bit "ehhhh" overall too. I'd read the book before seeing the movie though, so that might've affected my opinion somewhat. Quantum of Solace was the last nail in the coffin for me though. I absolutely hated that movie, it had nothing positive going for it. I don't want to hate a Bond movie, but it was just so incredibly bad in my eyes. I'm actually sad about the fact that I have to hate one of these movies. Haven't seen nor am I planning to see Skyfall or Spectre (although I loved Blofeld as a character...). I don't want to ruin the franchise for myself more than I already have :) [s]only mindless sheep think labyrinth is OK to have in PoE.[/s]

In my opinion, Daniel Craig is the best James Bond. However, in this movie, the writers/directors let him down somewhat. A shame really, as it could have been so much better, with the re-emergence of his old enemy. The best part of the movie was the theme song, "Writing's on the Wall" sung by Sam Smith. Incredible voice, that man. Still, it was a Bond movie, and I like Bond movies, especially with Craig as Bond. I've seen it twice, Monica still looks good for her age, and the scene in the train where the girl walks in wearing 'that dress' ... wow! Hot! |

"Some of what I'm smoking" ? Heheheh.. I used to indulge when I was younger, but reality caught up with me, and I grew up. Craig *is* a 'brute', he's tough, hard and ruthless. That's what I like about him. No namby-pamby bullsh!t, he goes for the throat! Shoots to kill. Anyways, that's just my opinion re Bond and Craig, everyone's may differ. |

I thought I was going to sit around with not place to vent and keep all my anger locked up inside, instead I can do things like THAT MOVIE WAS AWFUL!!!!1!1!!!Eleven!!!1!! The move was bad. I did not want to see anymore of this series, I told myself I would only see a new James Bond if they brought back S.P.E.C.T.E.R. It worked for a wile, I thought my plan was fool proof. I thought I had beaten the system. That was until the faithful day, they day they named the movie after the one thing that would bring me back. I did not go wanting the movie to be good, I went wanting the movie to not be bad. The chase prior to the helicopter scene at the start was kind of cool, but after that it was down hill. I mean, I would not have been so disappointed if S.P.E.C.T.E.R. actually appeared in force or did something at all. They just had a hollow plot with a joke organization and a pathetic villain wearing all wearing the name S.P.E.C.T.E.R. I don't blame the lead actor from leaving after that movie, I would to if I had to act in that crap. " ^ Agreed. I didn't get the Bond-feeling from him at all. Craig is a good actor, and if we'd ask which Bond actor is the best "generic secret agent type", Craig would definitely take the trophy. James Bond was never that generic type though. For better or worse, I don't consider Craig's Bond the same James Bond that actors before him have put on screen.
