No better solution would be to open the server for all than handing out keys every 10 minutes to one person?

It's beta. Just how it works. They need more focused feedback at the moment because the game isn't finished. If they open it up to all, it'd be a mess.

It's a closed beta.
The closed part implies limited access, it'll probably be open to everyone when the open beta hits, if there's going to be one. If there is I don't know when that is. Just be patient, you'll either get a key or be able to play later. | |

Chris has personally handed out over sixty keys today. Regardless, they say this isn't a marketing beta.

Opening the server would just probably crash them because of the mass of people.
but they could increase the amount of keys given away. |
