I just counted 4 people in a row, with 0 (Z E R O) posts.

If it's random (I don't want to argue about true random etc.) there is nothing to wonder about those zero poster combos.

Well, they claim that they fixed the algorithm, so the posters will have about 10x increased chances. So.. there really shouldn't be THAT many 0 post winners.

To say that there shouldn't be so many 0 post winners you should know how many accounts there are... There could be like 20-30+ 0 post accounts for every account with 1 or more post.
