Fire and Ice Elemental Equilibrium Templar Viability ?

I was thinking of taking advantage of elemental equilibrium and the templars proximity to witch/marauder. Do you guys think this is viable ?

Basic mechanic:
You can go two routes with this. Both of these builds assume you will have a mana regen balance to never run out of mana.

We're looking at your first few points going into something like this


Dynamic Templar:
Spoiler
Allowing you to cater for maximum spell damage against fire or ice resist enemies. Example you can use the 50% fire/ice reduction depending on the lesser resist of the target.You have broader range but will have to be more careful.

1: Fire and ICE spells get leveled up equally
2: Mana and Mana Regen are high priority
3: Life is gotten when you can or as you need it.



Specialist Templar
Spoiler
The goal here is to have enough fire to push your fire spells with enough mana / mana regen to be able to spam your spells
1: Fire is your friend ice stays on level 1 its there to make fire work better.
2: Mana / Regen are on medium priority here, you dont need as much as dynamic.
3: Life will be pushed whenever you come across it

The 1-2-3 Steps !

Step 1:Increase your AOE range
This step mandatory as your firestorm/ice nova will take care of the early enemies quite easily and this will help there as well as it being a foundation for the build, potions will do for life and mana for now. You would not level up ice nova yet.

Step 2: Run for Elemental Equilibrium Grab
This run will get you some life on the way and we're ready to grab that elemental equilibrium when we're ready to follow the rotation.

Step 3: Decide Dynamic or Specialist
You should have an idea of how you'd like to play by now so this is the point you branch off, dynamic you are going to go deeper into the witch territory and specialist you will use witch for as much mana is needed but otherwise you're going to be running for life nodes.


Your attack rotation
Spells available
Ice Nova / Ice Pulse / Ice Spear / Fireball / Firestorm

1: Lower Resists
You will do this every 5 seconds, taking that pesky fire or ice resist down. If you are dynamic you will be able to do fire or ice spells for resists, specialist you'll be using the ice ones.

2: Hurt Them
Use fire attacks now if you used ice before or ice attacks when you used fire.
