Valuable Drops Marked on Mini-map

Sometimes you're ripping through a map and don't see valuable items drop.

I'd like to be able to configure my loot filter to make certain items visible on the minimap.

I'm interested in what other people think. How about it, is this an idea you'd support?

i'm suggesting an improvement to the loot filter (which is an awesome tool). before the loot filter... oh my god... sometimes... loot explosion... madness...

Custom sounds in the loot filter would be great. Let us use custom sound files (.wav) instead of the standard alert sounds.

"Look at the ground" is not a good suggestion for a number of builds (e.g. summoners, archers) that kill a lot of mobs off screen.
bring on the comedy loot filters sporting funny sound effects and audio clips!

That being said, couldn't we get similar systems for other stuff, like :
+ Vendor filter.
+ Automating level up (this one looks really hard).
+ Automating skill setup, upon hitting specific keys.
+ Automating skill leveling (auto-click or auto-right-click depending on conditions set by the user).
+ Chat filter.
+ Etc...
D3, the nerfish bubble gum game that it is (I've played a lot the game has some neat things going, just a little too easy mode for me) puts a beacon, a light that goes to the sky at the spot of any unique/set drop and puts it on the map. This is a really nifty feature to have in a game with so much RNG.

Adding it to filters as an option is ok, adding it to filters and putting a default on/off in the menus would be great.

Even playing at 5760*1080 I manage to kill things off screen.

I agree, anyone playing a ranged char could miss a mirror drop from a mob killed offscreen on an open map and never notice, because the only thing we have is the remaining command to check if we cleared.

Oh sir, you're so HC player that I believe no-one could be more HC... you should probably request for removal of that silly map. Yeah, maps are for sissies. And wait... why to have drop sound at all. Get rid of that!
