Lifetime Season Points?

Quite some time ago, in addition to tracking the points earned in each race season separately, GGG added Lifetime Season Points. At the time, they mentioned eventually putting in some kind of rewards for achieving certain levels of lifetime points. It has been several full race seasons since then though and although the lifetime totals still show in your profile, it seems like nothing is actually being done with them yet. Any plans to change this any time soon?
