250 FPS on Windows 10?

My POE keeps trying to make my game process at 300 FPS, and it's overheating the hell out of my GPU.
Please help. I can't seem to find any setting to reduce this. | |

enabling vsync wont force the engine to stop processing the frames, only render them. You can notice this by checking your fps with F1.

Set up a frame limiter external.
Most video card manufacturers provide software you can use to tune the card. There are guides online on how to frame limit most cards. Try to set the frame limit to match your monitor refresh rate. Also you'll want to disable vsync if you do this so they don't clash and cause issues (in most cases) |
