Windows 10

I really like Windows 10. Haven't even had any issues when upgrading that I couldn't solve myself.
I learned to adapt to different OS's, so it's nothing too strange for me with the UI. Reminds me of Linux in some instances too.

Aside from that, it's a pretty good successor to Windows 7. I'm glad it's replaced finally, it is just too outdated and the glass theme has always been an eye sore.

I also forgot to mention that the settings are so easy to get too now. It's pretty awesome, no longer having to go through so many menus to get what I need.

I love them. Upgraded yesterday from Win8.1 with zero issues. Everything worked great without doing anything on my part. It seems like Microsoft sticks with their pattern, where a good version succeds a shit one.

Win98-good
Win2000-shit
Win XP-good
Win Vista-shit
win7-good
win8-shit(got much better after 8.1)
win10-good

That is some scary stuff. I think I will continue to hold off upgrading for a while longer.

Lots of this stuff isn't in the OS anymore. I think this must have been created from an early build.
top microsoft product:
- per default it uploads your contacts, calendar events, your speech data, handwriting data, computer spec and typing history to microsoft servers
- it runs malware detection which you can't permanently disable
- automatic updates auto restart your computer
- opens your wifi to "friends" on outlook, skype and facebook on default
- ms gives itself the right to access the content of your mails or other private communication (skype) and all files on your system at will. you can't turn this option off if you don't have the enterprise version.

And most settings depicted are found in the same location making it easy to turn them all off, though I definitely agree that none of them should be on by "default".
Computer specifications:
Windows 10 Pro x64 | AMD Ryzen 5800X3D | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard | 16GB 3600MHz RAM | MSI Geforce 1070Ti Gamer | Corsair AX 760watt PSU | Samsung 860 Pro 512GB SSD & WD Black FZEX HDD
Windows 7 is all you need.

If you absolutely need to upgrade for directx12, wish it wasn't tied to OS, then make a separate partition.

Microsoft has been pushing crap features that people would deem invasive, including their own updates....

Windows XP is still the best (for me ofc), if only it could run most of the games today, does it?

I thought it was a fine upgrade... then I switched some hardware and it just got deactivated.

Basically you can use it, but you can't change any of the settings, including the wallpaper.

So if you change your GPU in the future, Win10 might not work, then you have to buy a new key...
