White Screen on Startup

Not sure what is causing this but I reinstalled after Awakening released and was able to play for a few hours before stopping. Since then, I haven't been able to load the game again. It launches but will remain stuck on a white screen.

I have attempted checking the validity through Steam
I have updated my graphics drivers (running an R9 2xx)

Not sure what else would be causing it...
Can you post a screenshot of what it is you're seeing?

Have you also tried manually editing the production_Config.ini file and changing the graphics options to see if it has any affect on the problem?

Specifically like... disabling post-processing and shadows, etc.

It might even be worthwhile to rename the production_Config.ini file (like it isn't there) and allowing the game to re-create it. Perhaps a setting caused some issues for you and resetting them will help you fix it.
Looking in the directory for the install now and just unable to find any .ini >_<
Search your drive for it.

It isn't in the game install folder.
It is in your Documents/My Games area.
Well, it is now loading windowed mode and I've changed some of the flags in the .ini (thanks) but still not getting beyond a black screen but the audio is now playing.

Hey hopefully you've fixed this by now, but I'm going to reply in case someone else has the same problem.

This issue happened after I upgraded to the 15.7.1 Catalyst driver on my ATI R9 290. I would start the game and get a white screen, and if I got rid of that .ini then I'd get a black screen.

The solution for me was to completely uninstall the catalyst driver + raptr gaming evolved app and to reinstall it.
