IIRC from beta, you have to restart for it to come up with the option once you put your first filter in.
Have you done something awesome with Sire of Shards? PM me and tell me all about it!

Hey everyone,
it's probably a good idea to double check the location of where you're putting your filters, and whether the file extension is being defined properly. If the filter is not a ".filter" file, or not located in the same folder as the config.ini file you won't see the option in the UI tab. It's probably also a good idea to check out The Guide to Loot Filters. This was a thread made during the beta and moved to the top of Gameplay Help and Discussion. Should still be applicable here. EDIT: The location of your filters should be put in the same folder as the production_Config file, which should be located somewhere similar to "\My Documents\My Games\Path of Exile". Many Thanks, Arthur Last edited by Arthur_GGG#0000 on Jul 11, 2015, 4:57:55 AM

" Have double checked location, file type and all other steps in the guide you have linked, restarted the client and there is still no option for loot filters in the UI options... UPD: Issue solved, it was a problem with hidden file extensions with notepad - Solution in spoiler for those who need it

Open Windows Explorer (also known as "My Computer" or "Computer" on the Windows desktop and the Start Menu). Navigate to the place you saved the file. Click the "Tools" (or "Organize") menu on the menu bar in Explorer (the menu bar is at the top of the Explorer window, underneath the window title). Click the "Folder Options" (or "Folder and search options") item in the popup menu that appears. A dialog box appears. Click the "View" tab at the top of the window. Look for a setting "Hide file extensions for known file types" and uncheck the box beside it to disable it. If you want to always see the file extension in all folders, click the button "Apply to All Folders" (otherwise don't). Then click "Apply" and then "OK".

A file name extension is a set of characters added to the end of a file name that determine which program should open it. For more information, see File names and file name extensions: frequently asked questions.
Windows hides file name extensions, but you can choose to make them visible. To show or hide file name extensions Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options. Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following: To show file name extensions, clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK. To hide file name extensions, select the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK. |

I made it so the file extensions are always showing and the config file is in the my games section of my computer and still the item filter does not appear in the UI settings. Any ideas?
