Need Help with Frost Blades Tree.

Hello.
I want to try a build wchich uses new Frost Blades Gem.

Build will be using CI and many crit nodes+freeze and cold dmg nodes to attacks fast and hard :)

250% Inc Energy Shield
+30 Max ES
310% Crit Chance and 5 Power charges with Bandit reward so 560% Crit Chance
126% Crit Multi
+180% Cold Dmg
+76% Elemental DMG
210 Inteligence
30 Dexterity
Evasion Rating +68%
20% Chance to Freeze
Chaos Inocalation
Sould Reaver
Build atm lacks of Strenght and Dexterity and maby a little of dmg but tbh havent tested it out yet :)

Gems: Frost Blades+Multistrike+Weapon Ele dmg+2 free slots for gems wchich give me best dps for 5l
rest of gems: havent planned it yet so i hope for little feedback but i want to use new Phase Shift gem, Discipline Something for faster moving and Herald + Curse :)
If some1 could give me some advices and also edit build a little to get 1-2 jewel slots would be epic :)

Looks really interesting and I also wanted to try frost blades...

I would definitely include Ice Bite. Frenzy charges are quite op at the moment and you will have an easy time generating them killing frozen enemies. Also, 10% bonus freeze chance is really good :)

I would get the frenzy charge close to shadow area and in merc probably get +1 frenzy instead of +1 power charge... They're just too good to pass ;)

I just cut down on the Unnatural calm cluster and the witch starting area so I could invest it in jewel sockets that are passed by.



Might want to adjust the tree for grabbing zealots oath keystone if you're going to use bino's as CI since the regen is really good especially for crit builds. As for the lack of strength and dex, you may want to grab the +30 nodes or just have it on gear.

I am running a frost blades build atm and you may wanna consider taking mainly phys dmg instead of elemental, since the skill scales of phys and then converts 40% to frost, otherwise your bonuses will be applied only to the 40% bonus instead of the whole skill. As for support gems:
the best dps gem is weapon elemental (if you are running at least 1 herald)
added fire is great together with elemental
multistrike is major targeting bonus (since frost blades is single target, multistrike insures that even if you mislick and target an empty space next to a mob, the rest of the attacks will hit)
for more spread i recommend Fork (far better than any other spreading / aoeing support gem), it is probably better to not use frost blades at all without it, gmp/lmp sux :)
added phys is not good as well - since it boosts only the melee attack and not the projectiles
If you are planning on going crit than you probably do not need freeze chance, since you will be freezing all non rare/unique mobs all the time, maybe some leech will be better since frost blade has absolutely terrible single target potential (and the fact that you cannot freeze bosses makes it very hard in hc leagues past level 68 aeria`s )

What i am running atm is a claw + shield version and gem links are:
4L = FB + Fork + Multistrike + Crit chance (purely reaching over 50% freeze)
at 5/6L = FB + Fork + Multistrike + Weapon elemental + added fire + life leech/crit chance
4L = Herald of ice + CoH + Assassin's Mark + increased AoE (since you are attacking very fast, you do not have time for cursing )
I have also put Herald of fire + Discipline

Also if there is a bonus lightning dmg on a ring or gloves its supreme with your high crit chance :), good luck and play Safe
