Should i be worried?(100% package loss= normal?)

While playing today in lock-step i had a lot of stutters and it appeared to me i was losing packages (that's how it felt)

So i just ran a winMTR and one of the connections has a 100% package loss and the one before it 92%, not sure if this is cause for concern though.

I have no experience with this, so this could be all normal, like a server reboot somewhere etc?

It just got me worried, so just asking for some clarification here and maybe if this is an issue, giving some data :).

This is a winMTR to the amsterdamn(EU) address provided.(speedtest.ams01.softlayer.com)

No. It's normal for a single node to have loss, and the 100% is because it couldn't resolve the name.

The only time packet loss is true packet loss is if it continues throughout the rest of the trace.

You COULD be losing packets at the second to last hop, but it's hard to tell as the Amsterdam node is notoriously congested anyway.

Thanks a bunch sir, your dedication to the technical support sub board is commendable to say the least!

My issue with the stuttering seams to have dissipated as-well, backing up your theory(not that i doubted it)
it was more or less an inquiry after noticing this, without IT knowledge this seems rather odd :D.

Cheers sir, keep up the fine work.

I started to have similar problems yesterday after work. Playing in lockstep in beta since the start, it was working perfectly until now.

I'm getting huge stutters, freezes, speed ups and what not. It is happening on both Amsterdam and Frankfurt gateway.

Below is result of WinMTR run, not sure how to read it.

@Baron01: You should start by reading the Rules sticky post, and creating your own thread for your issues. We like to keep threads separate here so that they get the appropriate attention to the original poster and don't get derailed by other people.

As for your trace itself, you need to download version 0.92 of WinMTR and use it instead. You're using an old and broken version 0.8.

So get the new version, get a new trace (of at least 300 packets please) and then post the results to your own thread including a description of your problem again.

Thanks Drakier, I will create my own thread after I get back home from work.

Problem is I could not get WinMTR version 0.92 to work for me. It did not produce any logs.
