Beta Random Crash into Forced Computer Reboot

Hi all,

I recently acquired and downloaded my Awakening beta key and in early Act 1 (The Prison) with my first beta character, I would experience an odd sound followed by a black screen and a prompt forced reboot of my computer. Recently updated my GPU driver and checked for viruses (someone had attempted to hack my poe account right before this problem started occurring), still encountering this issue every time I attempt to play.

I've tried the --softwareaudio trick which hasnt helped, might try --nosound next. (Edit) tried both, crashes still occur, definitely not a sound card issue...

GPU temp in web browser/desktop= 60 to 65°C GPU Temp in game= 80-90+ °C

If anyone has experience with this specific issue or knows the cause of this issue, I would greatly appreciate your contribution. Thanks.

--softwaresound is not right. it is --softwareaudio or the easier version is -swa, but that might not work either depending on what the problem is.

have you checked BlueScreenView or something to check for BSoD errors or similar?

Sorry, I did mean --softwareaudio, as for bluescreen solutions I've read some stuff online since after the restart, windows says the problem occured was a BlueScreen even if I just get a forced reboot rather than the actual blue screen. Anyways, are there some blue screen solutions that would be helpful for me?
BlueScreenView.

Download it and post the details of the one associated with your PoE play.

I edited the post with what I got from BlueScreenViewer, does that tell you anything?
Can you highlight each link and click the URL button?

I'm on my phone and attempting to navigate through copy/paste is painful.

You should also just manually link things you want to be clickable.

Looks like you're crashing in the video subsystems.

Ensure that you have all the latest Windows Updates, and re-install the video drivers directly form the Nvidia website. You might even want to boot into SafeMode first after downloading Driver Sweeper or something similar and completely remove all traces of the Nvidia drivers before re-installing them.

Hopefully that resolves your issue. If not, you either have some corruption in the driver, corruption in windows, or the hardware is not behaving properly. Might also double-check all power settings and other things as well to make sure it is all connected properly and tuned appropriately.
I strongly recommend using this tool for removing your current GPU driver: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

I've tried downloading this software a couple times now and everytime i get to the "extract to" box and hit "extract" at the automatically given location, another window comes up and then closes 1-2 seconds after and then nothing else happens... How can I fix this?
