New duelist, new player question

Hey so im new to the POE game, only been playing a week. I currently have a lv25 duelist but im having trouble figuring how to build him, i've been looking through different builds but i cant find one that has a basic overview as well as the advanced part.

I'm starting to think that what ever im doing is wrong, ive been playing a bit with a mate whos the same lv as me but is a Marauder and he seems to have more fire power and more defense.

So im really just after tips or links to different theads that can help.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place wsnt sure if i should put it here or in general gameplay.

OK so update, I'm now lv30

This is my current skill tree, but im just guessing at this point, I just picked up a cyclone gem seems pretty good but i dont have nearly enough mana sustain it for very long.

I still have 13 left, but i just saw blood magic... and was wondering how viable that would be for a duel swording duelist....with an interest in cyclone?

also any nodes i missed or shouldnt have? any help wanted

Those random strength and dexterity nodes aren't doing you any good, you also probably didn't need to go down both sides of the duelist tree.
