Questions about crit vs resolute technique and shock

I'm trying to plan out a nice build for Atziri axe using static strike and I'd like to be able to apply shock somewhat reliably so I can also autocurse with herald of thunder. As I understand it, I can only apply shock by critical strike or by the %chance to shock freeze or ignite nodes on the passive tree. Being that I'm going to run a Marauder, I'll only have two nodes within reach for a total of 10% chance for status ailments. The main question I have is, with a 5% crit chance weapon, how much accuracy and crit do I need to get on the tree to not see a huge loss in DPS by dropping RT? Just going for the status ailment here, not the huge crit damage.

Here are two possible trees I'm considering at the moment.

Appreciate any critique on the trees or tips for building pretty much any strong attack for my axe without having to use a blood magic gem.
Firstly crit with that axe is going to be fairly ineffective.

Secondly with RT, the damage top-end on Herald of Thunder alone is unlikely to shock anything meaningful - imo you should focus on Herald of Ash Prolif instead or similiar to increase clear speed =)
