What is going on with this game?

I keep checking back on the path of exile website, but I can't find any information about the current state of the game

I'm just waiting for the next 3 month temp leagues and Act 4. Where can I find info about this? is there a date when they will actually release the act 4?

Also why are they doing this stupid countdown thing? it's exceptionally frustrating :/ I just want to play the damn game -_-

edit: oh i get it now, they are trying to squeze more money out of us by selling access to the "beta" -.- wow, real classy, Chris. i thought you were better than that.

And yet you come up with wild assumptions. People specifically asked for a way to buy into beta, prior to that demand keys weren't part of the supporter packs.

Don't buy access to the beta if that's not your thing. The flashback league is super fun and costs you nothing.

Exactly this, don't be surprise if they push it to august.

I don't think you understand. A lot of players were complaining about them not selling beta keys before the awakening supporter packs came out. I don't think GGG initially wanted to sell beta keys, but due to many complaints they did it anyway.

other than that not much is happening

Apparently they are fixing desync and even field of view (now you can see way more of what goes on south of your character). That's what's going on with this game :)
