Does each map have the same default loot table/drop rate? I'm not talking about the quantity modifier that you can change, I mean the implicit loot table/drop rate that the monsters and bosses have. I noticed that I almost always get good drops in maps such as Crypt, Dry Lake and Dunes, and almost always get REALLY bad drops in Tropical Island, Cemetery and Dungeons. For instance every time I run Crypt or Dry Lake, I have to make multiple trips back to town because there was just so much yellows or RGB loot. Once I used up 5 of 6 portals running Crypt just hauling yellows back. On the other hand, every time I run Tropical Island or Cemetery, I never have to use a single portal because there was so little loot, only like 1-2 RGBs to trade for a chromatic, and maybe only 2-3 yellows. The final boss of these maps barely drops anything. For example the Cemetery run I just did now, the final boss dropped zero yellows, zero RGBs, zero currency, zero worthwhile socket items, zero gems, etc. It just dropped a whole bunch of worthless blues. So is it just RNG or are the loot of these maps all different? I tried to keep the quantity modifier 20-30% for each map so I doubt that makes a difference.

some maps are better than others. dry lake and dunes tend to drop good stuff. i don't know exacly why this is so but i learnt which maps are good when playing culler. my favourites are 69 shore and 71 dry woods i think.
bosses with high life drop more loot than bosses with lower life. that's why dominus always drops a lot of stuff and dungeon boss does not.
also rare monsters with high life drop better loot. the rare rock golems drop more stuff than a rare sea witch with low life.

Maps that are restricted, ie. those with walls or the like, may inhibit the size of mobs... If a mob of 10 is to spawn in a certain position, but there is only space for 3, then that mob will be reduced in size. If it had spawned in an open map, then all 10 would have spawned. This is not compensated for, so restricted maps will spawn less monsters, giving less loot.
