Heart of Flame's fire penetration + Searing Bond = ?

So we all know the Fire Pen gem does not work with Searing Bond. However there are few passives (like Heart of Flame above Witch area, Celestial Judgement to left of Templar area) that give "damage penetrates X amount of fire resistance". Does this apply to Searing Bond and let it do some more damage?

For me it shows up under the skill info page (under 'C') as having penetration for all elements. I don't know if this is just a formality due to having taken the passive, or the totem is actually able to deal additional damage via that fire pen value.

Anyone who knows for certain?

For all intensive purposes, the penetration from nodes on the tree (such as heart of flame) function identical to the Corresponding gems. Therefore it will have no effect on searing bond.

Searing Bond deserves more love just sayin it is a great skill that you can use up to mid maps in a 2 link
