Last we heard, the trading improvements were going to be worked on in earnest after this expansion came out.

Chris said last night (just 5 hours ago I guess) that trading changes won't be in 2.0. He started to say it would be in the next big expansion after that, but then backed off and pointed out that they could come sooner, and that they don't necessarily have to come all together, and that they might be able to roll out 1 thing here and 1 thing there in between 2.0 and whatever the 'next big thing' is.

Idk, at this point i'm actually not too convinced that it'd do the game any good. Yes, yes, i know: it's unfuriating to trade from time to time, but take a step back and look at the whole picture. More or less, the only changes that'd really make a difference would push the game into a more "Diablo 3 Auctionhouse" direction, as in a more automated (or convenient) way for players to sell and buy items. Although it pisses me off to trade often enough, i'm not sure that this is what we want for PoE or what GGG have in mind.
All the popular and often named changes aim into this direction: - offline trading - some tool to search for stuff ingame (like poe.xyz) - setting up a shop ingame or something alike If i were part of GGG, all i'd do would be QoL improvements for trading and that's it. Even though i wouldn't be against an auction house at all - i'd love it. After all we effectivly already have it. But GGG wouldn't like it, so i doubt it'll come. |
